Location: Denver, USA
Description Experienced WiMAX field engineers to provide field support for the implementation of WiMAX networks for one of Alvarion's biggest projects in North America, including responsibility for the following:
- Installation supervision, site acceptance and troubleshooting of all network elements, including RF audits and site surveys
- Network planning, pre-configuration of networks, installation and commissioning
- Field engineering support for the integration and commissioning of wireless solutions
- Design, implementation and troubleshooting of wireless network infrastructure
- Execution of wireless site surveys/final sweeps and making necessary recommendations for optimization of the network
- Troubleshooting wireless networks using a variety of test tools
- Utilization of wireless protocols and frequencies in the field
- Researching of wireless-based technology and training offerings on current materials
- Project documentation and streamlining of deliverables
Requirements
- At least 3 years practical experience in wireless broadband network design and support, including experience with VoIP
- Very strong background in IP networks, design, implementation and maintenance
- At least 3 years practical experience in system engineering or equivalent for a wireless broadband equipment manufacturer or system integrator
- Hands-on experience with wireless broadband and RLAN equipment (mandatory)
- Practical experience with lab test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, vector test analyzers, smart bits, BERT and Ethernet sniffers/analyzers
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills (English)
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Ability to generate reports and technical documents in publishable format (mandatory)
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75% of time)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Education B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or related/equivalent field experience
